What it adds vs Adventure

Three physical changes — the display, the battery, and the solar lens on top of both.

MIP display, made for daylight

Transflective MIP reads sharpest in full sun and sips power all day. In the dark, a backlight on demand — light when you ask for it, battery when you don't.

A larger battery

A physically bigger cell than the standard Adventure carries — the longest battery in the line even with no sun at all. Through a polar night, Expedition mode still runs for months without a charger.

Solar, on every mode

Up to 30% more battery in normal use — and in Expedition mode (one GNSS fix per hour), battery is unlimited on 4–6 hours of sunlight a day: 4 h on the 51 mm, 5 h on the 47, 6 h on the 43.

Everything else is Adventure — including the inReach satellite link. Where this watch goes there's rarely cell service, and satellite messaging & SOS is the backup that works anywhere under open sky.
